Losing my readership, Matthews gaining
I am so in transit theses days.
Well, I am glad Mayor Matthews is making the headlines with Super Bowl efforts.
That is worth reading

- If I were "so in transit" or, in other words, "homeless", I wouldn't be spending a minute of my day blogging about the Super Bowl.
- Mayor Matthews is making efforts for whom? San Francisco is going to be the host city and, quite frankly, that city does well financially whether the game is held in the Bay Area in 2016/2017 or not. It won't change the fact the stadium we're building for the 49ers has close to $1 billion in debts without a credible way to pay for them.
Seems like losing his toe has had a very positive effect on his blogging - perhaps the VMC doctors told him to start taking care of himself and his blood sugar levels or he risks further health complications.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the doctors will convince him to go back and delete his entire blog and years of blog posts.
I have a feeling the only reason Rowen's blogging has become so limited is because he doesn't have the resources to be on the internet for days-on-end.
DeleteIf Rowen was on death row eating his last meal he'd probably be coming on any chicks around...His mentality is not to assess a personal situation in a realistic manner.
ReplyDeleteIf Rowen was on death row he'd be blogging about his execution and claim that he was framed by members of SCPF.
DeleteRowen was not re-elected for 2013 as Secretary of the SC Citizens' Advisory Committee. See the new officers at: http://www.cacofsc.org/cac_officers.htm
ReplyDeleteI understand he had done a terrible job of simply recording attendance and meeting minutes. Some former members left rather than be subject to Rowen's cyber-bullying. He is not only unemployed but unemployable.
Its hard to serve at any capacity in Santa Clara when you don't know if you're going to have an address in this city.
DeleteIs Rowen still attending City Council meetings, or other meetings that he used to attend?
ReplyDeleteGlad to see that he's no longer the CAC secretary.
No one who attends a city meeting, or any other public meeting, should be subject to cyberbullying from anyone. No one who speaks before our council, or at any other public meeting, should be harassed or cyberbullied for exercising their right to free speech.
No one who writes a letter to the editor should be harassed or cyberbullied because of it.
Rowen has harassed, cyberbullied, and tried to intimidate anyone who dares to have a viewpoint different from his. He has made harassing phone calls to Santa Clarans' homes and places of work, and sent harassing emails. The city has been complained to, and has looked the other way, probably because so many council members and former council members have had Rowen on their campaign payrolls.
I think that spending all of that negative energy on harassing/bullying other people has got to have contributed to Rowen being ill.
What credibility did Rowen have to begin with? Anyone who read his blogs knew he was an idiot. The fact he resorted to contacting employers of people who opposed him validated the assertion he is mentally ill.
DeleteBecause he resorted to the tactics he chose to levy against many SC residents, I established this blog. I thought, why should his continued harassment and cyberbullying go unchallenged? It would have made for quite a debate except for the fact James Rowen's personal life was so out of order.
Now, those who've followed his wanton life of trying to be a political operative in Santa Clara, have witnessed Rowen's demise. He's financially broke, likely homeless and in poor health. Why? Because he never thought of preparing himself for life. If there's a lesson to be learned, its not to emulate such a legacy.
Even if it's readily apparent to anyone who takes the time to read them that his blogging is utter nonsense, it's infuriating to have one's name in them regardless.
DeleteThe council people who encourged James and gave him money know this are utterly comtemptible for their actions.
Did James report to his benefactors when he phone harrassed residents and/or their employers and get a bonus or pat on the head?
If so, he should be going back to his pals and demand housing from them as it's the least they owe him for his "services".
I didn't see Rowen at the Jan. 29 Council meeting. With him being on vacation to exotic lands and all, well, his temporary absence would expected.
DeleteWhere are his so-called "friends" when he needs them? I guess Rowen is learning a valuable lesson about friendship.
DeleteOh, and a big thank you for this blog, MCL. One thing we know about Rowen is that while he can dish it out, he can't take it. That's a real hallmark of a bully in my book.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. Rowen epitomized what is bad about the internet. It would have been one thing if he were an authority on something. However, given the facts pertaining to his personal life, he was nothing but a useless bum. Blogging gave him a sense of purpose. His problem was his own self-worth was tied into butt-kissing Santa Clara city officials who weren't going to do anything for him. Through them, he wanted to be a somebody. Now, he's truly a nobody.
DeleteFree speech has its down side, and Rowen's blog is definitely a down side of free speech on the internet.
ReplyDeleteBut seriously, shame on Google for not being willing to take any action against Rowen.
Unless someone has gone to a judge, and has a court order, it seems like anyone can blog about anyone else - and libel people freely.
Anyone offended by Rowen could have taken him to court. Its likely most felt it wasn't worth the effort. What would they have to gain from it? A judgment against James Rowen? I'm sure the wait in that line would have been very long. After all, how do you collect from someone who has absolutely nothing?
DeleteI know someone who about two years ago did consult with an attorney about Rowen. He/she was advised that generally there will be no assets to pursue and unfortunately the best advice was to try to ignore the slandering.
DeleteWhatever the case, look how Rowen's life has turned out. He truly is a pathetic waste. He never had to raise a family or assume any grown up responsibilities. Yet, instead of being a productive individual he decided to become utterly useless.
DeleteI hope someone does eventually come to his aid. My fear is that he snaps one day and causes harm to someone.
